Yay me.
I just got over pneumonia at the beginning of January. They even did a chest x-ray on the 2nd that came back clear. So when my chest and upper back started hurting on the right side the other day, I thought that maybe it was my liver or my gallbladder or something.
I had only started coughing a couple of days ago and it wasn’t even that bad. The pain in my chest had me a little worried since I could barely hold Grace without doubling over in pain. I made an appointment to see the doctor and he asked me if I had been coughing. I told him I had and that it was very productive, but not nearly bad enough to have bruised or cracked a rib. I thought that may have been what he was getting at. So he checked my lungs and sure enough, it’s pneumonia.
That was on Wednesday. So now I’m on antibiotic and my cough seems to be getting better as far as how productive and congested I was. I’m still not coughing very much though. Apparently, the infection is not close to one of the major airways and is more on the outside of my lung and that’s why it hurts so bad and why I’m coughing so bad. If I over do it, I pay for it in pain, that’s for sure. I’m also very tired and have a low grade fever.
I’m sick of being sick. I was sick with this crap from before Thanksgiving until after the New Year and now I have it again. Ugh.

Things are going well for us. I don’t know if I mentioned that Jason won an awesome award at work last month. I’m too lazy to go back and check my posts. Anyways, I’m super proud of him <3 We got to have lunch at Inglis House, which was very cool. Jason and I are suckers for old houses and Inglis House is absolutely beautiful. I just wish we could have taken a tour.
Austin has been playing indoor soccer and got to try out being goalie. He gave up 3 goals, but if you’ve seen his team play, you’d know that 3 goals is pretty good. They may not be the best team, but at least they’re staying active and having fun.
Ryan is enjoying kindergarten. I went to his conference last week and his teacher told me that he’s very polite and well behaved and is always eager to help others. My Ryan? Really? Are you sure it’s not some other Ryan?
Jacob is growing like a weed. I can’t believe he’s going to be 2 at the end of this month. Time is flying by. He’s trying his hardest to talk and some things you can understand and most you can’t. He has words for certain things that crack us up. For instance, any drink with a straw is called a “go”, the phone is called a “call”, his sippy is called a “hhhrrrhuuhruhr”, Austin’s name is pronounced “argh” (like a pirate). He’s such a funny kid and so full of personality.
Grace is also growing like a weed. She’ll be 1 at the end of March. She’s able to stand unassisted for quite a while, but refuses to take a step. We’ve even tried holding toys out in front of her, but no. She still doesn’t have much hair, which is killing me. I want to put little clippies and bows in it and I can’t. At least I can make her cute little outfits and stuff like that.
I don’t do much other than deal with my business and take care of the kids. Every once in a while Camie and I get together so the boys can play and Teresa, Cristy, and I are going to plan a dinner date one of these days. I need to get out of the house more. Due to sick kids, before today, I hadn’t really been out of the house much since Thursday when I took Jacob to the doctor. Can you say stir crazy?
