Nesting gone beserk

February 26, 2007 · 1 Comment

I’m still here and still pregnant. My life is kind of boring, that’s why there hasn’t been many updates.

I’m now 36 weeks pregnant and have been nesting like crazy. Jason seems to be nesting too :)
We’ve decluttered the house, hung curtains in the living room, dining room, kitchen, and I started painting the kitchen. I’ll post pics when it’s done. I’m going to see if my mom can come over and get the stuff that I would need a ladder for since I shouldn’t be up on a ladder anyways. I got a telescoping extender thingy for the roller so I don’t have to climb.

I’m still going for my twice weekly non-stress tests. So far I’ve passed them all, but it’s such a pain to have to go there twice a week.

We got a Nintendo Wii and I’ve been having fun playing Animal Crossing. The Wii is pretty awesome. Jason has been mainly sticking to the virtual console games like Kid Icarus and playing tennis and bowling with the Wii Sports. He made his Mii to look like Jim from the office. It’s pretty cool. The kids like Call to Duty 3 and Animal Crossing and the Wii Sports.

I don’t know if I mentioned that they are inducing me on March 20th, if I don’t go on my own before then. Sometimes I think I will and sometimes I think I’ll be pregnant forever. I have been having contractions, but nothing too bad.

Jacob turned one on the 22nd. We had cake and ice cream for him that evening. He totally astroyed (Ryanspeak for destroyed) his cake and had a blast playing with his presents. He had a check up the next day and weighs 20 pounds, 14 ounces and is 30.5 inches long. He’s walking like crazy and into everything. I don’t know how I’m going to do it when Gracie is here.

So that’s what’s been happening lately, nothing too exciting and no knitting. I actually gave up buying yarn for Lent…

We headed up to the booksale today to see if there were any books that I could resell on eBay. I found one that is the first book in a series that I currently have listed and then two kids books that sell pretty well. I’ve listed a ton of stuff out on eBay lately. Mostly stuff from my mom’s house that she wanted to get rid of. I have a lot of people viewing my auctions, but not a lot of bidding going on yet. The auctions have 4 days left, so that’s to be expected. I have a bunch of kids clothes upstairs that I need to get listed too, which is what I plan to work on next week. I want to get through this first bunch first.

I plan on using the money that I make to feed my yarn habit and to buy stuff for the baby and for the kids. Hopefully I make lots of the green stuff!

I passed the two non-stress tests that I had last week. I have another on Monday and on Wednesday. I also have an ultrasound to check the baby’s growth on Monday. I feel like she’s going to be huge. I’m as big as a house already.

I still haven’t finished Jason’s glove. It’s about halfway done but I just haven’t had time to work on it. One of these days…

Quick update

February 8, 2007 · 1 Comment

I haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth, honest.

Jacob has been sick with Rotavirus and extremely clingy so I haven’t had much time to be online. He also has an ear infection which makes it that much worse. The Rotavirus is gone, thankfully and he only has a couple more days to go on the antibiotic for the ear infection.

I have to go to the doctor twice a week for appointments and non-stress tests. I had my first one yesterday and passed with flying colors. They have also given me an induction date of March 20th. I’ll be 39 weeks.

As far as knitting goes, I made Gracie a bootie and started the other one, but Jason wants some gloves (I promised them a while ago, so it’s only fair) so I started on those. I got the first one done and so far, the cuff on the other. I didn’t have a pattern, so I made one up that uses double pointed needles. It goes so much faster when your stockinette is all knit stitches instead of knit a row, purl a row. I’ll post a pic when I get the other glove done.

Oh and thanks to Jen for the heads up about Library Thing. It’s the perfect thing to keep me busy and Jason has already jumped in too.
